According to EUROSTAT, Sicily is one of the 10 European regions with the highest youth unemployment rate at 43.6%. All of our items are made by socially disadvantaged young people. We want to accompany them into a better future.
Our Story

Damaris became aware of concrete casting through her sister-in-law. She began experimenting with great joy. After many attempts and even more failures, today's Cementini murals emerged.
Through their work in the children and youth welfare association "La Bussola" in Palermo, Italy, Marco and Damaris were repeatedly confronted with the major problem of youth unemployment in Palermo. Again and again they had to watch as young people slipped into crime due to a lack of opportunities.
This gave rise to the desire to involve young people from difficult social backgrounds in Cementini production. Working in the Cementini workshop offers a protected environment in which they are individually supported with the aim of being able to make the leap into the primary job market.
